Earthbound Farm was started in 1984 in Carmel Valley, California. What began as a two-and-a-half acre backyard garden has become the largest grower and shipper of organic produce in North America, now farming on more than 24,000 acres. An organic industry pioneer, in 1986 Earthbound Farm was the first company to successfully launch pre-washed salads packaged for retail sale and to popularize specialty salads nationally. In pursuing its mission, to make the organic choice viable, Earthbound Farm has changed the American produce business by demolishing the myth that organic farming and production was not viable on a large scale. To do that, the Goodmans had to do what other organic growers had been reluctant to do and partnered with large-scale family farming operations who understood the great market potential for organic produce. The synergy of innovation and expertise that resulted led to viable organic farming on a scale large enough to produce a supply of sufficient volume and quality to get their farm fresh organic produce into 74% of the nation’s mainstream grocery stores, plus Costco, Wal-Mart, Whole Foods and Wild Oats.
Earthbound Farm offers a generous total compensation package. Employees enjoy competitive salaries, excellent health benefits, career development and training opportunities, tuition reimbursement programs, 401 (K) retirement savings, an up beat and friendly work environment, and many other unique "perks" that come along with being part of the Nation's leading Organic Produce Supplier!
